using rubbing alchohol spray into the handle then it should slide onto the bar when the alchohol evaporates it should stay in place.

how about using that grip tape where you want the rubber handgrip at,try the sporting goods store or a hardware store.

Don't use any oil!! Unless you want the grip to permanently be sliding around. Dish soap does the trick and your grips will lock in place when the soap dries out.

First make sure that you are sliding it the grip on from the right direction. Then apply a little bit of WD-40 inside the grip, and on the bar at the point where it won't go any further and simply slide the rubber grip onto the bar.
