Are most of the balding guys at the gym on steroids?

What are some other signs that people at the gym are doing steroids? I’ve never understood why someone would, especially if they are not pro athletes.
Just seems like there is a high number of baldies in my gym, and a sister gym was busted for steroid sales. I don’t get it: The goal of lifting weights should be to be more attractive!

Do you think that these guys take steroids because they want to nobly pursue some weight lifting record?

Bodybuilding is about looking good, having the biggest muscles and the nicest shaped body. It is the same as wearing stylish clothes or applying makeup – everybody wants to look their best, to attract the right partner, to get ahead in life and beat Mr Jones who lives next door and certain people in this world believe that by taking steroids they will achieve these goals. It worked for Arnold Schwartezeneggar.

Also steroids is a derivative of testosterone, which is a very powerful and naturally produced hormone – it makes people feel good about themselves, not only because physical results can be seen within a short space of time but because it indirectly affects the mood centre in the brain! Achieving a good muscle size would take years of work – with steroids the process is extremely quick. I’m convinced that actors take steroids in conjuction with a diet and exercise routine to beef up for certain roles – e.g. Brad Pitt in Troy!!

Maybe, maybe not. These men could just be genetically predisposed to have receeding hairlines. People use these "performance enhancing drugs" to improve their physical appearances…but I too don’t see the point. Afterall, the cons FAR outweigh the pros here. Pro atheletes above ALL should be the ones staying far away from these drugs.

Many bald guys at the gym are bodybuilders and shave the majority of ALL body hair, not just their head becasue they are balding.

The ones on steriods are often aggravated/irritated and many times have a "puffy" look instead of the clean cut or ripped look of natural muscle. Many get "fat" looking instead of muscular first…it’s a shame really.

I’ve never understood it myself….if you want the muscle, work for it.

3 years at a gym with a personal trainer who is bald, a body builder but not juiced…prior experience with an old trainer/bf who was a powerlifter who did use anabolic steroids…I’ll take my current trainer any day…his body is WAY better

Though increased testosterone does show balding effects, it can also be they’re naturally high in testosterone (eating certain foods increases T levels).
