I am looking for an exercise program DVD to do at home that is FUN and WORKS.?
I live in the middle of nowhere and the nearest gym is pretty far. I am wanting to start an at home exercise program that is not only fun (and won’t get boring after doing it for a while) and one that works. I want to focus on my mid-section and thighs, but also do an overall workout. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
try Denise Austin- I like the Pilates Hit the Spot video b/c you can customise your own workout. try listening to music while you do it or while you go on a run to make it more "fun"

If you are bold enough, try Carmen Electra’s Learn to Strip series…it really works the thighs and butt and you can use the moves elsewhere! She offers 3 routines per DVD usually. Check it out!

There are MANY, it really depends on what you like. I saw the infomercials for Turbo Jam, Core Rhythms, and Yoga Booty Ballet and then researched reviews on them. All had good reviews so I then went on eBay and purchased them more cheaply than via their own websites.
Turbo Jam is intense and has a lot of ab and leg work (a lot of kickboxing moves also). The starter set has 5 or 6 workouts including cardio and sculpting and a couple that are completely ab-focused. Also comes with an eating plan to accompany it.
Core Rhythms is really different and focuses mainly on the abs. It has a quick workout, a long workout, and an additional Latin Dance DVD as the workouts are taught by two ballroom dancers. It also comes with an eating plan.
Yoga Booty Ballet has some cardio and some toning. Some of their workouts incorporate ballet moves for strengthening, and some yoga. There are a variety of workouts. Most are not real intense cardio but you still feel like you’ve done something when you are finished.
They are by far not all that’s out there. I’ve also got a bunch of Denise Austin’s workouts. Buns of Steel, Crunch videos, etc as I like variety so I don’t get bored. I also walk, jog, inline skate, trikke, dance, and kayak to try to keep my weight under control and make it interesting.
Do a search online for exercise video reviews or workout video reviews. What you read may help you decide what may work well for you.
Good luck!

Turbo Jam! It’s really fun and works great. (I assume you’re a female)Also, Belly dancing is a great tummy, hips and thigh workout. It’s sensual and a great workout to do at least once a week to bring you back to your womanhood. A lot of these workouts are so testosterone pumped (even the ones led by women) that it’s nice to include something that celebrates being a woman. You should include some yoga too. It helps balance you and increases flexibility which helps lessen the possibility of injuring yourself during more strenuous workouts.
A favorite kickboxing video of mine is Denise Austin power kickboxing. It’ll kick your butt, but in a good way. I’ve included some websites for my suggestions that give more detail. Don’t forget to check Amazon.com when you decide to buy anything. You can usually get these things really cheap there. Good luck!
