I coach high school football and weightlifting so I am in the weight room 6 days a week 365 days a year. The best way to eliminate soreness and aches is to not just stop right after a hard work out. After doing a good heavy bench workout etc. try do some pushups then stretching. You want to stay as loose as possible to help get oxygen to the muscles to remove lactic acid. If you have problems with cramping which is what sounds like is happening eat bananas or drink pickle juice. They actually make a special mixing stuff that you mix with water to help with cramps. If you are taking any kind of criotene or any other kind of muscle builder containing enhancing substances you want to make sure to drink plenty of water and/or gatorade this will also help. the key to it all tho is to stay hydrated and loose. stretch stretch stretch.
References :
it's important to ease into the work out by warming up and also to cool down with stretches.... stretching is there to help prevent your muscles feeling sore and the warm up is there to prevent your muscles from feeling shocked. so where ever your sore isolate those muscles and give them a good stretch.... and when you stretch you hold the position for about 5 mins. repeat it as necessary. Or go and get a whole body message to loosen you up.
