I’m 16 and i wanna lose 25 pounds in around 5 months but i need workouts that i can do at home any ideas? And how long should i workout a day and how many days a week? Is working out everyday pushing it?
Hey, I see you are trying to lose weight,My girlfriend and I have been struggling with the weight challenge for a while now, we tried everything out there until we came across The Diet Solution Program, this was our last shot at trying anything, About six weeks with this program and what a difference, you should check it out.

I am out of shape 48 year old male with 2 jobs, family and little time. I need something I can do in 20 to 30 minutes, that doesn’t require watching a dvd or gym equipment. It would be great if it incorporated aerobic and abs too. Help!
Perhaps you could try dynamic tension exercises which involve pitting your own muscles against each other.

I’ve recently started paying more attention to my health( most of my activities involve me sitting down) and I can’t really pinpoint what workout I should do. I believe I’m an endomorph(sp?), I’m short( about 5′2”) and I don’t have much muscle or fat on my arms. Though I’m short wasted and the fat on my body seems to all be in my thighs hips and lower abdomen(I wear a size 3 in jeans). I can not afford to go to the gym nor can I afford equipment, I just want a simple workout that will keep me healthy and help me maintain my weight. My first thoughts were yoga and jogging, I had trouble breathing while jogging (which may just mean I need to take it slower) and I read that yoga wasn’t good for my body type. I’d also like to know your opinions on the workout in the link below and if it would suit me.

As long as you can reasonably touch your toes or hold a push-up position, you can do those exercises. Don’t focus so strongly on "body type" or what’s appropriate or not.
If you’re not used to running or other cardio activity, then jogging will be tough at first. Nobody is born a marathon runner, after all. You have to work up to it, and your system won’t improve if you don’t keep at it. This applies to all cardio workouts.
Yoga isn’t restricted to body type. It’s supposed to be difficult because it’s designed to MAKE the practitioner more flexible by pushing limits and boundaries. It’s a misconception that it’s only for slender, flexible people who are already fit. As a strict weight-loss exercise, however, yoga is not really meant for that.
Consider checking out your local library for any fitness/workout DVDs they may have to borrow. Doesn’t cost a cent there!

I am thinking of starting Muay Thai in a while. At the moment, I’m skinny, shorter than average, and have very little muscle. I have no equipment apart from a dumbbell.
If you could list a Muay Thai workout that requires no equipment, that lists different exercises, with the proper amount of reps and for how long I should do it, in which order, I would be very grateful.
That doesn’t increase your shin’s strength. That destroys nerve endings which will **** my shins up in the long run.
Strengthening shins is different to messing up your leg by killing off nerve-endings.
I take it you haven’t started Muay Thai yet?
I would recommend going to the class first, and letting them help you out with workout tips. If you haven;t been working out, you’ll find that any form of exercise will help you out very quickly – you’ll make fast gains. Set yourself a date for going to the class, and just in the weeks before, do a little circuit work, go for the odd run. But don;t think about shin strengthening or kicking banana plants before you’ve been at the class and know its for you!
Anyway, you asked for some workout ideas, and i want to give you a decent answer. Use this link, its an FAQ for Sherdog’s MMA conditioning forum, it has links to all the training information you could ever need, and will give you a good idea of where to get started for you:
http://www.sherdog.net/forums/f13/conditioning-faq-read-497312/
Personally, i would start with couch to 5K running 3x a week to build up an aeorobic base, and some basic bodyweight exercises (Squats, Situps, Pushups, Burpees etc) in a circuit.
BUT GO TO THE CLASS ASAP!

im looking to tone up a little bit. ive been running for about 6 months now by the way, so im preety skinny. i have weights and stuff like that but i think i want to do more bodyweight stuff and see where that takes me
I know you may think it sounds feminine but pilates tones and sculpts the body intensely. Mostly no equiptment needed except a mat or a relatively soft surface. You could look up a video on youtube etc. Its excellent. I got so toned from doing it!

I don’t currently have a gym membership, but I still want to workout at home. What are some good exercises I can do at home without equipment (or very inexpensive equipment.) Things like squats, lunges, push ups, sit ups/crunches. What else can I do?
I’m not concerned about cardio, I can go running or biking outside. I’m wondering more about strength training.
get a fitness/exercise magazine. they usually have really good tips and show u what to do. good luck!!

Trying to pull in a little tummy fat, I don’t really have any thigh fat, I just want to get better muscles, my calves are a little bigger than I would like, And I really need to strengthen my arms.Oh, and I want to lift my breasts, their B-cup..
I’m want to lose 6 pounds.
I’m 13, 5"4 and 116 lbs.
Any suggested work-outs??
Oh, and is 6 pounds all I need to lose??
Shoud I lose more??
Thanks for your help!
ok quick simple plan
try running and swimming if you can 3 times a for half an hour (build this up as you get fitter)
also some resistance exercises are important to be done once or twice a week
10 pressups
10 tricep dips
10 burpees
10 squats
10 calf raises (off bottom step of stairs)
10 running squat thrusts
do this twice (slowly build up so you can do 3)
for your stomach
situps 2 x 12
reverse crunch 2 x 12
floor sweeps 2 x 12
plank 30 secs
google any you dont know
aswell as this you need to watch what you eat. this doesnt mean being obsessive just cut down on junk and fat and eat fruit as a snack
this is just a quick plan, if you want a detailed one message me
