What is the name of the infomercial for an home machine (gyme exercise) that said it was better than Bowflex?

Friday, June 25th, 2010

In the infomercial was ex NBA player Kenny Anderson and several sports figures. This infomercial also had a soccer, triatholon, swimming, baseall player in it. This machine was comparing its self to Bowflex. It said it had better range of motion than Bowflex. I remember Kenny Anderson’s name because they had him trying out the Bowflex against their machine. They was showing how quicker it was to set up and use their machine over the Bowflex. I remember it coming on one morning in either November or December of last year (2007). I want to buy the machine, wrote down the name of it, but when I moved forgot where I put it. The machine is similar to Bowflex. It uses cables also. Brand new machine never heard of it. And its not Crossbow.

Portal Ending – Still Alive – on an Exercise Machine

Wednesday, June 23rd, 2010

Thanks for all the comments, guys! I made an HD version, here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hfmGnLMlKvs

Exercise machine computer modified to perform the portal ending. I saw the machine behind my school’s gym. They threw it out (it was busted beyond repair) so I took the control panel.

Thanks to 256byteram for releasing source code- I got the music data from there.

The project took 3 days: one day to replace the CPU, one day to write the drivers and engine, and one day to prepare the data.

The original CPU was an 8051 clone. This was replaced with a dsPIC30F4011 because I have the tools and equipment to program it.

… I was very bored.

Exercise routine with equiptment and machines at home…read addtional details please!!!?

Monday, June 7th, 2010

I have a trampoline..bike..and walker exercise machine. Can you make up a healthy exercise routine that I could do daily using these equitment..Thanx!! XD

In the morning…before you eat breakfast go and ride your bike, not slowly, but you know briskly for a whole hour. then come home and eat breakfast. afterwards, have some fun on the trampoline for about 30 minutes, with friends or your self….and later on in the day, use the walker thing for 45 minutes. when u say waler excercise, do u mean a treadmill? if so, still do 45 minutes…walk briskly, like at 4 miles per hour. and when u get tired…bring it down slower and walk for 2 minutes to rest but ur still moving..and thenafter the 2 minutes go back up to 4 miles…and keep switching for 45 minutes.

Home Exercise Machines?

Wednesday, May 5th, 2010

Hey there,

Im hoping someone can suggest an exercise machine that would suit my needs. So I’m pretty active already with surfing 4 days a week which is a great exercise. But I know want to "move up to the next level" with my surfing which means i need to build some more upper body strength. I dont want to be a big muscle man, I am already relativly well toned, but skinny.

I have seen things on TV like the ab circle pro and other similar machines. Does anyone have an actuall experiance with using any of these and could vouch for it? Id appreciate any information. Going to the gym is out of the question unfortunatly.

I chose a Joe Weider home gym from Walmart. Price was right and it was better made than similar more expensive machines. There are lots of exercise machines available used such as on Craigslist. I’d suggest trying to use a machine before buying one.

Help me identify an old home exercise machine from the 1970’s…?

Monday, May 3rd, 2010

I remember my older sister buying an inexpensive home exercise machine (perhaps a better way to describe is to use the word "tool" rather than "machine") circa 1978 from a store called "Arbor Drugs" (which was bought out by "CVS Pharmacy" in the mid 1990s). The best way I can describe this "tool" is as follows…It was like two plastic jump "ropes" connected to a pulley system. It came with a plastic hook on top, and hung from the ceiling. The two "ropes" had transparent vinyl-like handles at their ends. You had the option of exercising your arms by standing up, and after inserting your hands through the handles, making "boxer-like" punching motions, or giving your legs a workout by laying on your side, and after inserting your feet through the handles, kicking each leg up and down, one leg at a time. Does anybody remember this exercise "tool" from the 1970’s. I would do anything to find a website, article, or photo that features it. Can anybody help? Any help, or feedback, would be appreciated. By the way, this item was a product of the 70’s, and has not been sold in stores since the early 80’s.

Thanks!

Cheers!

Sincerely, Steve B.

I’m not sure what it’s called, but it seems like it is very similar to the recently made Weider X Factor, or Randy Couture’s Tower 200.
