Sunday, December 27th, 2009

I have to do a debate in class, and she is going to assign me the side of the argument and I have to get research on both sides. Can I have 5 or 10 simple pro’s and con’s of if we had mandatory GYM is public school’s. I already know to reduce obesity for pro’s, and cuts back on academic classes for con’s. More please? Thanks!

Which home fitness machine gives the best overall workout?

Sunday, December 27th, 2009

I’ve realised I don’t have room for a treadmill which was my first choice, so I’m looking for something a bit more compact like a cross trainer or an exercise bike. Would like to increase aerobic fitness mainly, but also tone up and become leaner and fitter. I’m not overweight (5′4" and weigh 49kg) and fairly active (fast walk about 4-5 miles a day). What do you think would be best?

the best thing is a skipping rope,

Best home exercise machine to lose fat?

Sunday, December 27th, 2009

I live in london and was considering buying the Ab Circle Pro, but after checking reviews out, it seems really crap compared to the infomercials. So I want to know what is the best, small compact fat loss excersice machine that can be shipped to greater london? My limit is £150. I dont have too much storage space, so it has to be quite compact, though i do have space underneath the stairs.

Thanks
Ps. Has anyone tried the Ab Circle Pro?

If you want to have amazingly toned muscles, an overall loss of fat, and a gracefully balanced body, look into the art of Parkour (known as Free Running), it’s exercise done using the surrounding environment, which works out all of your muscle groups, without any equipment other than adequate running shoes. Check source for more info.

whats the best inside home exercise equipment to buy for indoor exercise ?

what type of walking tradmill would give you more exercise to burn fat

I find that a cross trainer is better than treadmills because it also works out your arms as well as your legs and stomach.

You need to figure out what it is you want to achieve from the equipment and base your choice on that. You said you want to burn fat so you need cardio equipment :)

Maybe just go to a local sports shop and try out some of them that way you can pick based on that, and figure what works best for you :)

What is the best way to exercise at home?

Sunday, December 27th, 2009

I’m ok with going to the gym but sometimes dont have the motivation. What are some really good at home exercises that will help me loose just a couple of punds and tone up?

I bought a good skipping rope. I skip 100 times, do a superset of floor exercises (such as pushups, squats, etc.) and then repeat 100 skips. I repeat until I’ve hit all my major muscle groups, and then go through it again. It’s a great and inexpensive way to work out.

What is a good gym workout for lasting results?

Sunday, December 27th, 2009

I’m 29, 5′4", 190lbs. I lost 30lbs in the last year by changing my eating habits and have recently joined the gym. I turn 30 in the end of October and would like to be 165lbs by then but have no idea how to go about a gym workout that will last and show results without having to pay for a trainer. Can anyone help me out?

Most importantly, pick something that fits your lifestyle and that you LIKE! Personally, I do best going to classes that gyms offer because it forces me to go at a certain time. On the other hand, I hate step aerobics, so I like having other choices. Do you like to work out with someone or alone? Do you enjoy team sports like basketball or solo sports like running? Do you prefer weight lifting or resistance training? Is time an issue? These are all things to consider. Find something you like and you will have an easier time sticking to it! I highly recommend Curves… you should be able to find one in your area, it’s a 30 minute workout and there is no guessing… it sounds like it might fit your needs! There is no need to have to pay a trainer now… maybe for those last 10 lbs but for now you should be fine on your own. Good luck love! :)

How long after a nose job can you start serious gym exercises?

Sunday, December 27th, 2009

I had a nose job back in May 2006 and one of the advices my surgeon told me, was not to start gym exercises that cause me too much strain.

Was wondering if anyone else here has had a cosmetic nose job and if they’ve had any problems with going back to the gym doing weights etc…

Many thanks and Happy New Year to all

May!
I’d say you’d be O.K. now if you haven’t had any pain as of late, but always listen to your body! Go slow at first & stop if it hurts!
Good luck.

Where can I purchase inexpensive gym equipment so I can work out in my home?

Sunday, December 27th, 2009

The nearest gym is nearly 2 hours away (I dont have a car so I have to take several buses to get there) I paid for a year’s membership but frankly don’t have time to commute there and back. Is there any store or website I can purchase cheap equipment? (dumbells, benches, etc..)

Find your local Goodwill or Salvation Army store. Where I live there’s always tons of donated equipment for sale. Also, try area colleges and high schools. They usually sell old equipment to the public when they replace it with new stuff.
